Sorrow . . . Even at Christmas
And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. (Philippians 1:6 ESV)
Reflect
When we’re struggling with sorrow and grief, Christmas can be a difficult time of year. It’s more isolating than other seasons because we look around and everything seems to tell us that anything less than joy is not allowed. Our burdens, doubts, griefs, and struggles can feel out of place.
Act
Take a minute and use the lines provided to list the sorrows you’re carrying this Christmas season. Then, ask Jesus to carry each of these for you. He promises to do it! Finally, read Matthew 11:28–30.
